Tiantai Brewtech offers the hop gun ranging from 60L to 300L, which is used for dry hopping during the fermentation process. It’s typically used in craft breweries and helps infuse the beer with hop aroma and flavor without adding bitterness. The hop gun allows brewers to control the intensity of hop character in the final product by circulating beer through a chamber filled with hops or by injecting hops directly into the beer flow.

Features
Accelerates the fusion of hops and beer, shortens the dry hopping time and reduces hop loss.
Dry hopping at low temperatures results in a lower hop flavor extraction rate than that of hot wort at 78°C.
Filtration accuracy of the hop gun cartridge: if the cartridge is lower than 1.5mm, the hop gun is easy to be blocked; if it is higher than 1.5mm, the filtration effect is poor.
The hop gun can also be used for filter extraction and mixing of other solid and liquid substances.
Advantage
Compared to using a dry hopping doser, the hop gun for dry hopping offers the following benefits:
1. Control over hop intensity: The hop gun allows brewers to precisely control the amount of hops and the duration of contact with the beer, resulting in a more consistent and customizable hop character.
2. Reduced risk of contamination: Since the hop gun circulates beer through a separate chamber filled with hops, there’s less risk of introducing contaminants into the main batch of beer, ensuring a higher level of quality and consistency.
3. Faster turnaround time: The hop gun can provide quicker infusion of hop aroma and flavor compared to traditional dry hopping methods, potentially reducing the overall production time for a batch of beer.
4. Flexibility in batch size: The hop gun can be used for both small and large batches of beer, offering flexibility to brewers regardless of the scale of their operation.
Overall, the hop gun provides brewers with greater control, efficiency, and consistency in the dry hopping process, leading to enhanced quality and flavor in the final product.
Company Profile
How to choose a right Hop Gun for your brewery?
The main factors to consider are the following:
Volume of fermenter
Dry hopping volume Hop expansion coefficient: 7-10 times
Diaphragm pump size
Compressed air supply and pressure
Effective volume of the hop gun: V1 = maximum amount of hops required for the process / hop density
Total volume of the hop gun V = V1x(10-20%) + allowance
