How to remove the spent grain out from the lauter tun
In order to remove the spent grain out easier, we would design plow blade on the grain rake. The plow blade can be raised and lowered freely. At the same time, a stainless steel rabble should also be equipped to help the plow blade work well. For your better understanding, we would like to describe this process in details.
After wort lautering, the spent grain is remained on the false bottom. Please raise the blow blade to the top firstly, then turn the rake and the blow blade starts to remove the spent grain from the top to the bottom. If you keep the blow blade on the bottom at the primary removing stage, you are likely to found the rake can not be turned at all since the grain bed is too tight after a long time lautering. So, please remember to raise the plow blade before removing. If you have done that, the rake still can not be turned. At this time, you need to loosen the grain bed by rabble manually. Then turn the rake and remove the spent grain by plow blade.
Hope it helps. If you have different comments or better suggestions, email me freely. We look forward to talking further with you.
