The malt, as brewing material, is crucial for beer brewing. It’s quality would affect beer flavor directly. Therefore, the malt should be stored and managed strictly.
.The warehouse which stores the malt must have good ventilation, and is clean and dry enough. The floor and wall should be made by cement or other waterproof material. Besides, we had better take active measures to protect the malt from mosquito, insect, mouse, damp, high temperature etc.
.The malt should be stored separately according to types, not touch floor and wall, and keep away from the stuff which is easy-corrosive and easy-mold etc. Particularly, it is prohibited to store with poison.
.During storage, check the malt temperature and moisture regularly. If necessary, please ventilate and chill. The actual temperature should not exceed 20℃ and the moisture should not exceed 5%.
.In order to avoid the storage time too long, we should adopt first-in-first-out principle.
