For the beer brewing equipment, steam is a good option to heat the brew house. It can heat even and will not scorch. But when brewing the beer, how much is the steam pressure?
Usually it is the 1.5-2bar. But for some countries can only use the 1bar.
Here is a feedback from one USA customer:
“ There are two basic classification in USA, low pressure boiler which is less than 14.7psi (1 bar) and high pressure boiler which is greater than 14.7 psi (1 bar).
Most breweries in USA use low pressure boiler 1 bar.
When a boiler produces steam pressure above 1 bar American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) codes must be enforced and there are stricter piping regulations. The boiler itself is much more expensive. Similar to tanks in USA when pressure goes above 1 bar so does the cost. “
So the 1-2 bar are also ok. Just if the pressure is lower the heating temperature is lower and a bigger heating area is better.
The bigger of the pressure and the higher of the heating temperature.
Hope this is help for you to get a good beer brewery equipment!
And also choose a suitable steam boiler to brew the beer!
